🌴Tropical Trivia🌴
Next Year, Amazon will charge sellers for not only not having too much inventory in stock, but not having enough, either.

What’s Going On at the Beach?

A couple of weeks ago, during the US Thanksgiving weekend, we visited the Planet Hollywood Hotel in Costa Rica (an hour away). We always have fun and know a few staff members who help us out with a “resident rate” 😉Everyone always loves the Hibachi Restaurant and the Pool Foam Party (you gotta try it!)
It’s a pretty foam-ous spot…
We’ve been encouraging more independence in our boys, including solo visits to the “Kids Club.” Jackson had a wifi-only phone to communicate with us via Discord. As I jokingly tell Marsha, “lets turn off the helicopter engine” (helicopter parenting joke) and let them be on their own and have some responsibility.
On the last day, I realized I’d forgotten to give Jackson cash for a tip at the Kids Club. But he reassured me saying that he’d left a 5-star TripAdvisor review instead, prompted by the club supervisor who saw his phone (and added a little bit extra). As a business owners and Amazon Sellers, we bet they appreciated the review more then a tip.
Our next newsletter is in two weeks on Christmas Day. From our family to yours, Merry Christmas.🎄

Here’s something you can to TODAY to improve your business:
100% Automated Amazon Posts Blueprint
Are you using Amazon Posts in your business? If not, it may be time to start. Now, let me be clear. Posts aren’t a “do this first” type of thing, as there are definitely more important things to fix first (sourcing, images, pricing, keywords, etc).
BUT – this can move the needle and if you have the bandwidth, it’s definitely something you try. And… I haven’t yet met anyone who complained about free traffic to things they were selling.
If you didn’t see our 100% Automated Amazon Posts Blueprint, you can pick it up for FREE in our Facebook Group in the files section.
Navigate to: Files > Download “SFTB Automated Amazon Posts Blueprint”

Twice a month, Chris shares the latest accomodation offers and helps his readers pay less for Aibnb. If I had to guess, I’d say he has a bunch for Costa Rica. Time to book that plane ticket!
Did you catch the latest AMA in the Facebook Group? Multi-Seven-Figure-Seller Kevin Weibe talked about all things OA/RA, Hiring, Outsourcing, and Prep. There was so much actionable content I’m already starting to use some of his tips… 💰💰💰
2/ Traveler’s Toolkit ✈️The Latest Travel Hacks
Flights, hotels, packing and everything in between.
From the late, great Anthony Bourdain
Recently our family got some sort of nasty non-COVID flu. Naturally, we’ve been laying around and watching a ton of TV. We were browsing Prime Video (naturally) and came across some old reruns of Anthony Bourdain’s and no-nonsense and wonderful show:
Naturally, I had to know what his best travel tips were. Here they are (in no particular order).
  1. Choose destinations based on books, movies, or recommendations from chef friends and travelers.
  2. Be open to improvisation and getting lost.
  3. Research destinations to avoid cultural faux pas.
  4. Street food is crucial for experiencing local culture.
  5. Avoid eating on planes; instead, sleep through flights.
  6. Essential travel gadgets: iPhone and Skype-enabled laptop.
  7. Eat everything offered, like you would from a grandmother.
  8. Prefer wheelie luggage over backpacks.
  9. Enjoy local drinking customs and be appreciative.
Bourdain’s favorite places to visit: Saigon, Barcelona, San Sebastian, Venice, Rome, Tokyo, Osaka.
(what, no Costa Rica?)
3/ The Local Lowdown🌴
Things You Didn’t Know About Paradise
The good, the bad, the f***ing great.
Look for local Facebook Groups for the area or the hotel you are going to stay at.  We live next to the Westin and the W and this is an example of a Facebook group that has lots of important and useful information for a first-time traveler.
Be cautious about the group and see who started it.  Often they are started by smart tour operators to get more business so you might take things with a grain of salt.  If you click on the members and see who the admins and moderators are might give you some idea.
In this group, people are asking about restaurants, service, and recommendations about tours. The info is much more unfiltered than Trip Advisor and other review sites.  Also, if you are a business that would target these types of travelers, it is also a low key way to market and share your services in a bottom of funnel type of way.

(What I’m Pissed About Lately)
Used Buy Box. How. The Hell. Do we get it? 🤬🤬🤬
The Buy Box is always a bit of a “Black Box” but this is a bit ridiculous.
Facts:
  • Our seller account has more feedback
  • Priced $300 less then next offer
  • Same Used Condition (Used Like New)
  • More inventory in stock
Solve this issue and we’ll feature you in this section for the next newsletter. No, we are not kidding.
