Why having Enough Inventory (at FBA) is Way More Important than you think
The trickle down effects of having enough inventory are simply crazy. Many people miss the true importance of maintaining healthy stock levels.
When you have a healthy amount of inventory…
1) Your stock is distributed throughout the country, which means…
2) Faster shipping times for Amazon customers, which means…
3) Better organic and PPC conversion rates, which means…
More money for you.
Simply put, when we run low, things get bad. Remember the cardinal rule of Amazon (don’t run out of stock).
And I didn’t this doesn’t even include:
  • money you losewhen you run out of stock
  • the low level inventory fees from Amazon
  • the ground your competitors would gain on you
  • the PPC spend you’d have to increase to get back to your rank
TL;DR: Don’t run out of stock. Ever.
Sometimes You Still Gotta Go to the Big City
We’re deep into tax season with our accounting clients, but we managed to sneak away for a couple of days to San Jose, Costa Rica. We went on a mission to pick out some home essentials like tiles and sinks. Of course, we didn’t go alone; we brought along our architect and our chief negotiator/builder to ensure we snagged great deals. We locked in our tile order yesterday with discounts of 40-50% off the posted prices (always helps to bring the experts along).
Big news on the accounting side: our practice has been officially approved as an Amazon Service Provider for taxes and accounting! This designation isn’t easy to earn; it takes time, rigorous vetting, and a proven track record in e-commerce accounting.
After a thorough approval process, we’re proud to be recognized as a trusted provider for Amazon sellers!
If you need help with Canadian taxes, bookkeeping, or Canadian sales taxes, reach out.
Remember, if you sell in Canada and your revenue exceeds $30k, you’re required to register for GST/HST.

Adding “The Keyword” To Your Main Image (A/B Test)
Check out this post from John Aspinall showing the value of having an optimized main image by adding in your main keyword.
The results speak for themselves. The image with the keyword performed far better.
I mean it’s pretty obvious which one would win, no?
Next time, save yourself the $50-$75 and move to step 2.
And although this A/B test is a strong indicator of improvement, it’s only a small part of the equation.
The real test? Testing the old version and the optimized version against competitors’ images.
Standing out in the marketplace isn’t just about outperforming your past designs; it’s about ensuring your listing captures more attention than alternative options buyers are considering.
Winning internal tests is great.
That being said, market dominance comes from continuous iteration and external validation. I’d love to see him push further and identify how it holds up against the competition.
TO THAT END,
John is a wonderful human and a great creator. He’s just started a company — goaspi.com — and has a really insightful newsletter(s). Yes, he has two!
If you care about main & secondary image optimization, these are the newsletters for you.

4 Tips for a Digital Nomad Multi-Currency System (with low rates & fees)
In this week’s travel hack, Marsha Cosman once again shares awesome tip from her book: Living the Digital Nomad Dream: Stories, Strategy & Finances.
One of the biggest financial mistakes digital nomads make is relying on their home bank accounts and credit cards while abroad. Foreign transaction fees, poor exchange rates, and banking restrictions can quietly drain your finances. Instead, set up a multi-currency financial system before you leave to maximize savings and flexibility.
Here’s how:
Open a Multi-Currency Account
Use services like Wise (formerly TransferWise) or OFX to hold and exchange multiple currencies with low fees.
This helps you avoid bad exchange rates from traditional banks and reduces transaction fees.
Use Credit Cards with No Foreign Transaction Fees
Many banks charge 2-3% per transaction when spending abroad.
Instead, opt for cards like the Chase Sapphire Preferred (U.S.), Capital One Venture (U.S.), or Scotiabank Passport Visa Infinite (Canada) to eliminate these costs.
Withdraw Cash Smartly
Use ATMs strategically. Some banks, like Charles Schwab (U.S.), reimburse ATM fees worldwide.
Avoid airport exchanges, which typically offer terrible rates.
Set Up International Payment Methods
If you freelance or run an online business, use platforms like Stripe, PayPal, or Payoneer to accept payments in multiple currencies.
This prevents unnecessary conversion fees when receiving income from international clients.
The Electric Blue Water @ Rio Celeste
If you’re looking for an epic spot to check out on your Costa Rica vacation, Rio Celeste is a must-see. Located at Tenorio Volcano National Park, this place looks like something out of a fantasy movie. Its electric blue water is unreal!
The color comes from volcanic minerals, and you can hike through the jungle to see the stunning waterfall, hot springs, and even bubbling thermal spots. Along the way, keep an eye out for monkeys, toucans, and tons of butterflies. You can’t swim here, but trust me, the views alone make it 100% worth the trip!
Make sure you don’t go after its been raining a bunch since the color won’t be as blue with dirt runoff.
Trump’s Tariff Posturing = Uncertainty
Trump’s tariff posturing has thrown Amazon sellers into a state of uncertainty. Unpredictable swings in tariffs on imported goods lead to sudden cost hikes, supply chain delays, and a constant struggle to maintain competitive pricing. These disruptions force sellers to constantly adjust their strategies in a market that is already highly competitive.
So, what can we do? Focus on what you can control.
Stay away from things that you have no control over. There’s no use in being mad about a traffic jam. Traffic jams are a force of nature, and so are Trump’s (or any poltician’s) policies.
Instead, focus on this:
  • Smarter sourcing (price & location)
  • PPC Optimization (your highest spend area, probably)
  • Diversify (Amazon.com isn’t the only girl at the dance)
  • Cash flow (credit cards, terms, delaying pay)
ALSO FYI  de minimis exception (321) is NOT live yet for MEXICO or CANADA.
