“Festify” Your Amazon Listing To Get More Traffic
Looking to boost clicks and sales on Amazon this holiday season?
Here’s a simple strategy big brands have been using for years, and the best part is—you can do it too, without spending a dime.
In a nutshell, you’re going to Festify your Amazon listing. Adding holiday elements to your main image lets you stand out in the search results, win the click and ultimately win more sales. Plus, it’s the perfect excuse to experiment and run tests on your main image.
Think about how Coca-Cola practically owns the image of Santa Claus—holiday themes trigger something in our brains that leads to more spending.
Dr. Yarrow from Psychology Today says, “Holiday decorations work around our rational brains and greatly influence our shopping behaviors.”
So when shoppers see holiday touches like a bow or festive decorations, it taps into subconscious feelings of gift-giving, joy, and family—even if your product isn’t a typical gift.
|
And here’s the fun part: you can do this in seconds with our new tool inside of ProductPinion called, Variationizer.
Just add those festive elements to your image, and you’re good to go! Want to make sure it will resonate with shoppers?
Of course you can test your ideas with real shoppers using ProductPinion in a single click too.
|
I did mention you could do this for FREE.
So while some agencies charge hundreds of dollars to create a variation of your main image, we’ll do it for free for Selling From The Beach Subscribers.
So, if you want our team to Festify one of your listings, simply click here and we’ll create a new main image guaranteed to get you more clicks. Wny are we doing this? We’ll, we figure it’ll be a fun and productive way to put our new software to the test.

Earthquakes!
|
The earthquake epicenter!
|
Costa Rica is perched on the edge of multiple tectonic plates, primarily the Cocos and Caribbean Plates, which makes earthquakes a regular occurrence. But last Saturday? It was something else entirely. The ground was restless like I’ve never seen before, with tremors coming one after the other.
If you’ve never experienced an earthquake, it’s a strange sensation. It’s kind of like the feeling you get when you’ve had too much to drink.
You start wondering, “Am I swaying? Is the room moving? Do I need more water?” It’s usually followed by that familiar glance at the person next to you, both asking the same thing: “Did you feel that?”
On the 12th, we were hit with a 6.2 magnitude quake offshore, and what followed was a staggering 35 aftershocks. As someone building a house, days like that remind me why Costa Rican construction is so heavy on rebar and concrete. There’s a reason everything feels so reinforced here.
We don’t worry too much, though. Thanks to Costa Rica’s coastline, the risk of tsunamis is extremely low. Most earthquakes are small enough to go unnoticed, but when you do feel one, you know it was a bigger event. If you look at the map, the pins show where the earthquakes hit, while the red lines trace the fault lines.

The Absolute Easiest Way to track your Amazon KPIs
|
This is a reminder that you don’t need complicated Google Sheets for your company’s most important Amazon KPI’s.
Almost everyone is already using Sellerboard as the industry standard. Did you know you can break down pretty much every major KPI an Amazon business would need by the following?
• ASIN
• Product Group/Tag
• Product Catalog
It’s insanely easy. How?
1) Dashboard
2) Click “Chart”
3) Unclick all metrics (under ‘configuration’)
4) Pick one metric you want to track and select a date range
5) Select an ASIN, group, or your entire catalog
BOOM – all your KPIs
BONUS TIP: SnS must be filtered by month or it will not work.
Are there any Amazon KPI’s that aren’t here? What are you missing?

Why Sturdy Shoes Are Your Best Companion
|
Like walking on a cloud…
|
My most-walked trip is always Las Vegas… and there always seems to be way more walking when you travel. You don’t know the bus routes, how far things are away, where you are… and it’s fun to explore.
Make sure you wear really comfy shoes!
My favorite? The HOKA Arahi 7. Simply the most comfortable shoe I’ve ever worn.
It’s good to always prioritize wearing sturdy, reliable shoes over flip-flops. Whether navigating unfamiliar streets, airports, or outdoor adventures, the right footwear protects you from injury, discomfort, and unexpected challenges.
Don’t risk smashed toes or infections—opt for shoes that can handle a ton of steps.

Golly Gee! Look at those Grasshoppers, Batman!
|
This is my balcony window 😲
|
Costa Rica is home to several species of huge grasshoppers, often referred to as “Langostas.” Funny enough, “Langosta” actually means lobster in Spanish, so go figure!
These giants are among the largest grasshoppers in the world, with some reaching up to six inches in length—more like small birds than bugs when they land on you! The biggest grasshopper ever found was ten inches, making these guys seem “small” lol.
I’ll never forget the first time we encountered one after moving to Costa Rica. We were walking into the house when, out of nowhere, one of these massive grasshoppers landed right on Jackson’s face! It scared both of us half to death—they really are that big. 💀
But Dad mode kicked in, and I jokingly asked Jackson if he felt any different, maybe like he was starting to gain superpowers—Spiderman style. That made him pause and think for a second, which helped him calm down.
All the creepy crawlies in Costa Rica are much bigger. It’s like everyone’s been working out or something.
🦗🦗🦗
Grasshopper population seems to depend on how much rain the country gets each year. When we first arrived, there were loads of them around. But over the past few years, their numbers dwindled. This year, though, it seems like they’re making a comeback. And no—in case you were wondering—no one eats them that I’m aware of…

AWD is FULL – LOL 😭
|
“We are on track to quadruple AWD capacity”
Here’s a video of Piyush Saraogi less than one month ago speaking of how powerful and flexible AWD is. According to Saraogi, AWD has the lowest inbound and outbound times ever, and is increasing capacity at an extremely fast rate. In his own words, the growth in seller volume has been “astonishing.”
On stage at Amazon Accelerate 2024, Saraogi inferred that AWD would be able to keep up with the demand.
Unfortunately today, it seems like the opposite is occurring.
1) Amazon jacked up inbound shipping fees by pushing sellers toward their AWD network. Yet AWD is barely cheaper and still a steep increase in costs. Worse, AWD is now so jammed, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆’𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀. Sellers are stuck paying hefty fees to third-party shippers.
2) Outbound shipments are taking two, sometimes three weeks. It seems like nothing is getting in or out.
James McConnell, Jr mentioned a few days ago he saw this coming: “Hate to say I told you so.”
So what now?
What are you seeing on your end regarding AWD?
