What’s Going on at the Beach?
|
Last weekend, we took a five-hour road trip to San Jose, our first visit since moving to Costa Rica.
The city’s cooler temperatures were refreshing from the continual coastal heat. We were drawn by the Costa Rica Comic Con, a first-time experience for us all, and it seemed like the perfect reason to explore the city!
We spent one day enjoying the malls and arcade games before attending Comic Con on Saturday. The event was crowded, much more than what we’re accustomed to at the beach. Although there were impressive costumes and plenty of anime merchandise, I was disappointed by the limited selection of Lego and Star Wars items, which I had hoped to find. Looking to find Yoda toys, I was.
The boys were thrilled with their highlight of the trip: buying full-length replica swords from the anime One Piece, something they’ve always wanted but could never fit in our suitcase.
…Overall, it was a good trip, but it’s not high on our list for a repeat visit.

Revenge of the SIPP-th
|
We do a ton of Amazon account audits every week and the biggest issue we see are a large amount of people who are enrolled in the SIPP (Ships in Product Packaging) without their knowledge.
Basically — their product was shipping in it’s packaging — not in an Amazon box. So however they were sending it into Amazon, that’s how it was being received by their customers (shipping label and all).
Watch OUT for this program. Check and see if your ASINs have being enrolled by looking them up this link.

Use Google Maps Without Internet
|
Did you know you can use Google Maps offline?
Perfect if you’re in a new country or don’t have a data plan set up.
Simple download the name or address of the place you’re going to by searching for it, clicking the three dots, and then choosing “Download Offline Map.”
It’s kind of like having what my Dad calls a “paper map.”
“Pay-per” I think i’m pronouncing that correctly…
Pretty sweet. So the next time you’re somewhere that maybe isn’t the friendliest to wifi (see above), you’re covered.

Green Season is Approaching! (Rainy Season)
|
In the last few days, we’ve finally started receiving some rain, the first in over four months since early December. 😲🌵
The onset of rain transforms the plants and trees, making them lush and vibrant. The rainy season brings about ‘green season’ discounts on hotels, car rentals, and more. Recently, there have been some excellent flight and hotel deals to Costa Rica as the peak tourist season winds down.
For a unique experience, consider staying at this hotel constructed from an old airplane.

(What I’m Pissed About Lately)

Here’s a fun one that is really going to:
Cost.
Me.
Money.
One of my products CHANGED ASINs and now is a different SKU for a different ASIN.
So ASIN 1 became a different SKU of ASIN 2.They are similar products but each is unique. Apparently Amazon auto-merged them.
After some doing, I managed to get them unmerged.
Solved, right?
Nope.
Now all of my inventory is on only one of the ASINs. Yes, one ASIN has all the inventory for BOTH ASINs. This is a disaster for obvious reasons.
Pray for me lol 😭

This video blew my mind. In a nutshell, everything we know about ranking is wrong, and every software that gives a “rank” is only giving us a rank from 1 location… when in actuality there are 500+ locations.
This makes single ranking services possibly irrelevant?
Think Helium10, Data Dive, Datarova, etc.
See the video below.
