What’s Going on at the Beach?
Don’t worry, I had to Google “Slacklining,” too.
We’re all back from a fun Florida trip, and now settling into our usual routine. Recently, a high school friend introduced me to someone interested in Costa Rican property. We’d briefly chatted online, and to my surprise, she’s currently in Costa Rica, even staying in our area, Reserva!
In the Cayman Islands, we enjoyed meeting friends of friends who visited, and it’s similar in Costa Rica. It’s easy and enjoyable to connect with visitors here… plus they’re often in a great mood since they’re on Vacation 🙂
This visitor had two boys around our kids’ ages, making for an instant connection. Unlike other places, in Costa Rica, you don’t always need to plan weeks ahead to meet up. Pura Vida!
Here’s a photo of our kids and their new friends playing on the slack line, with a random fifth boy who spontaneously joined in!

The Costa Rica Sailing Center
We love visiting the Sailing Center in Costa Rica, a great spot to meet families and relax. Initially, I jokingly called it a yacht club (because it sounds fancy), even though there’s zero yachts.
It’s right on the beach with a restaurant offering stunning beach views (hard to find a place in CR without a stunning view, though), a pool, and various water activities available for a fee. There’s no charge for entry or pool use, but it’s customary to buy a few drinks or snacks. The sunsets here are beautiful, often accompanied by an evening bonfire. The beach features darker sand and is perfect for safely playing in the small waves.

5/ The Sand in my Swimming Trunks🤬
(What I’m Pissed About Lately)
I am so ANNOYED at these “Compliance Requirements” emails.
They come in constantly and are not specific about which marketplace the violation is from. I’m in 8+ Amazon marketplaces and have to hunt around for the specific country request every time. It’s a ridiculous waste of time (not to mention the requirement is usually BS).
Oh, also each Amazon Marketplaces has a slightly different layout – hunting for these requirements is my own personal version of hell. 👹
