The 10 Biggest Things Amazon Announced at Accelerate 2026, and Where Each One Stands

First published in Selling From the Beach on September 28, 2026.

The short version

Pick the two that fit your business and go find them.

What did Amazon announce at Accelerate 2026?

Amazon Accelerate wrapped in Seattle in September 2026, and Amazon streamed about four hours of main-stage sessions. Rob and I went through all of it so you don't have to. Every "Watch it" link below drops you on the exact moment Amazon announced it, so you don't have to scrub through a two-hour video.

Every status below was checked on October 13, 2026 against Amazon's own pages and its two videos, General Session 1 and General Session 2.

Can I plug my Amazon account into Claude?

An official way to plug your Amazon account into Claude. Amazon built a Selling Partner plugin for Anthropic's Claude and for its own AI assistant, Quick. Sign in once with Seller Central and your AI can see your sales, inventory, listings and shipments. No exports, no code. I already run most of my account through my AI, so this one hit home. Oh, and every seller can grab 12 months of Amazon Quick Plus free (you plus two users).

When: Limited US beta. Free Quick Plus sign-up closes December 31, 2026.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 23, 2026 post says the plugin is available in beta for sellers in Amazon's U.S. stores, with international expansion to follow. The same post says every primary account holder globally can sign up for a free 12-month Amazon Quick Plus subscription through December 31, 2026, and primary account holders can name two co-workers who also get a free year. Amazon puts connecting to Claude at roughly 60 seconds, no coding required.

What is Amazon's Listing Protection?

Listing Protection. The one I'd care about most. If you're in Account Health Assurance (you consistently keep your account health rating above 250), most listing enforcements will come with a grace period to fix the problem BEFORE the listing comes down. Appeal in that window and in most cases the listing stays live until Amazon decides. You'll also get a warning before a price change goes live if it would get you deactivated.

When: US by the end of 2026, worldwide in 2027.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 29, 2026 recap says Listing Protection will reach all Account Health Assurance sellers in the U.S. by year-end and worldwide in 2027. When a violation is flagged, the listing stays live while the seller resolves it, with clear steps and a way to challenge errors. The recap does not mention a grace period or a warning before a price change. Amazon said both on stage (General Session 1, 3975s and 4006s).

Can I manage Walmart, Shopify, eBay and TikTok Shop inside Seller Central?

Walmart, Shopify, eBay and TikTok Shop inside Seller Central. Yes, really. Connect your accounts, see every order in one place, and ship any of them through MCF in a few clicks if you want. A profit-by-channel view and edit-once listings are on the way. Free.

When: US only, rolling out gradually over the few months after September 24, 2026.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 24, 2026 post says the tools roll out gradually to sellers in the U.S. store over the coming months, at no additional cost. The current version lets sellers connect eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart accounts, import and link off-Amazon listings, view multichannel sales and orders, and fulfill across channels in a few clicks. Amazon describes the profit view and edit-once listings as what the tools will do, and says more channels and capabilities are rolling out soon.

Can I offer Prime delivery on my own website?

Prime on your own website, the simple version. Buy with Prime needed its own setup. Now US sellers using MCF can add Prime delivery as a normal checkout option for no extra cost beyond regular MCF fees. Early adopters saw more than 40% of eligible orders ship with Prime. You switch it on in the "Amazon MCF and Buy with Prime" Shopify app.

When: Live, US only. The old "Amazon MCF: US Fulfillment" app was set to shut off on Wednesday, September 30, 2026.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 24, 2026 post says MCF merchants selling in the U.S., including those just enrolling, can add Prime delivery to their own websites at no additional cost beyond standard MCF fees. Amazon's Prime delivery page adds that storage fees and surcharges still apply, and that the 40% figure comes from 15 early adopters, based on orders between November 2025 and May 2026. Amazon says Prime delivery cuts integration time by over 70% on average versus Buy with Prime. The Shopify guide still gives September 30, 2026 as the deactivation date for the old Amazon MCF: US Fulfillment app.

What can Seller Assistant workflows do?

Seller Assistant watches the boring stuff for you. Amazon calls them workflows. Pre-built ones watch account health, summarize orders, track pricing trends and find expansion ideas, or you write your own in plain English. It works in the background, hands you the fix, and nothing happens until you approve it. Every action goes in an audit trail.

When: Introduced September 23. Amazon didn't give a rollout date.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 23, 2026 post describes workflows as custom automations that run continuously, even when the seller isn't logged in to Seller Central. Sellers choose whether a workflow only surfaces recommendations or takes actions, and when it takes actions, sellers review and approve them before they are carried out. The post gives no rollout date or marketplace list.

What is auto optimization for Sponsored Products?

Auto optimization for Sponsored Products. Keyword auto optimization finds new keywords, pauses the ones not earning their spend, and keeps every bid under your max. In early results, Amazon says new campaigns using it got their first sale 40% faster. There are three at launch: keyword targeting, product targeting and seasonal moments like back to school.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon Ads says auto-optimization will be available to advertisers in the United States in January 2027. Its September 22, 2026 post says it expands product targeting, adds keywords, pauses underperformers and spots seasonal opportunities within existing campaign settings, and sellers can edit or reverse its actions. In beta, campaigns using keyword auto-optimization saw a first sale 40% faster and a 13% increase in sales.

Will Amazon build my inbound shipments?

Amazon builds your inbound shipments. Amazon pitched this at last year's Accelerate. Now it's actually going into beta. Seller Assistant lays out the whole plan (which SKUs, how many units, which locations, what it costs) and books it when you hit approve.

When: Beta to sellers from late September 2026; all US sellers "in the coming months," per Amazon on stage.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 24, 2026 post says Seller Assistant is adding supply chain capabilities, starting with agents for aged inventory and inbound planning. Amazon's earlier September 17, 2025 post said it would deliver a detailed inventory plan splitting units between FBA fulfillment centers and Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD). Neither the post nor the recap puts the beta or the all-US timing in writing, and both come from the stage (General Session 2 at 3059s).

Is Amazon Lending open to every seller?

Amazon Lending is opening to every seller. No invitation will be needed. You will check eligibility and apply in Seller Central. There are new lenders too, including lines of credit from Slope (backed by JPMorgan Chase) and SBA loans up to $5 million for qualifying US businesses, and you can carry more than one loan at a time.

When: Open to every seller by the end of 2026.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 29, 2026 recap says Amazon is opening its lending program to every seller by year-end, dropping the required invitation. Amazon's Selling Partners lending page still describes financing through invitations to eligible sellers. Amazon's sell.amazon.com lending page still reads "Check for financing invitations" and lists Slope, with lines of credit up to $5M, supported by a credit facility and strategic equity investment from J.P. Morgan. Amazon said on stage that sellers can carry more than one loan at a time (General Session 2 at 1526s), but neither the lending page nor the recap says so in writing.

Can I test a product idea in Opportunity Explorer?

Test a product idea before you spend a dollar. In Opportunity Explorer you can describe the product and price you're considering, and it compares your idea against what shoppers are searching, buying and saying about similar products. Tweak the features and run it again.

When: Announced as available now, per Amazon on stage; not yet on an Amazon written page.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 29, 2026 recap says AI tools help sellers decide what to sell next, matching demand signals to a catalog. Amazon's tool page says to open it from Growth, then Product Opportunity Explorer, in the Seller Central main menu. Neither the tool page nor the recap describes entering a product and price to test an idea. Amazon said on stage that this is available (General Session 2 at 1884s), but it is not confirmed in writing.

What is Amazon's Global Warehousing and Distribution (GWD) service?

Amazon's China warehouses go global. Global Warehousing and Distribution (GWD) is already open in Shenzhen, Shanghai and Ningbo, shipping into US FBA. Amazon says storage runs up to 45% cheaper than AWD in the US and FBA replenishment is up to five days faster. The same facilities will soon supply seven more countries, including Canada and the UK. One shipment, eight countries.

When: Live for the US, seven more countries by the end of 2026.

Status on October 13, 2026: Amazon's September 24, 2026 post says GWD connects to the U.S. and will expand to seven more countries, including the UK, Japan, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, and Canada, by the end of the year, with storage up to 45% lower than AWD in the U.S. and FBA replenishment up to five days faster once it does. Amazon's Seller Central posts list GWD sites in Shenzhen (from April 9, 2026) and Shanghai (from July 16, 2026), plus Ningbo.
